Syelle Graves (Ph.D. 2018) is a linguist, serving as part-time assistant director of ILETC (Institute for Language Education in Transcultural Context) at the CUNY Graduate Center, and as a part-time learning experience designer at the Library and at CETLS (Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship) at CUNY BMCC’s OpenLab. She earned her Ph.D. in linguistics at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in 2018, and she graduated summa cum laude from SUNY New Paltz with a BA in French, where she recently became a 40 under Forty alumni award honoree.
