逸空间荣幸地宣布群展「念念远山」将于9月8日开幕，我们将呈现五位艺术家——郭海强、葛彦、黄启佑、韩修智、 徐大卫的近期创作，五位艺术家的创作不仅关注自然作为文化象征的视觉存在，更将其视为人类情感和存在状态的深刻映射。


East Gallery is honored to announce that the group exhibition "Mountains of mind" will open on September 8th. We will present the recent creations of five artists - Guo Haiqiang, Ge Yan, Huang Qiyou, Han Xiuzhi, and Xu Dawei.The five artists’ works not only focus on the visual existence of nature as a cultural symbol, but also regard it as a profound reflection of human emotions and state of existence.

自然，作为一种永恒的符号，承载了人类心灵的无尽投射。我们对自然的复杂情感——从恐惧到迷恋，这种感情随着时间的推移，被赋予了各种各样的人文意义;山，是所有风景的开端与结束，作为文化中最典型的自然象征，不仅仅构成了视觉上的存在背景， 更是精神与想象的隐喻。


Nature, as an eternal symbol, carries the endless projection of the human mind. Our complex emotions towards nature, from fear to fascination, have been given various humanistic meanings over time; mountains are the beginning and end of all landscapes. As the most typical natural symbol in culture, they not only constitute the visual background of existence, but also the condensation of inner desire and the metaphor of spirit and imagination.

“那些攀登高峰的人，一半爱着自己，一半恋着湮灭。”——这是在极限生命体验下的互相交织的两种态度，一方面，攀登者对自我成就的追求与热爱;另一方面，对未知与不可控的深切向往。这种双重性切入存在主义的核心——人的存在在孤独与不确定中展开，个体在面对生命与自然的无常时，必须在不断变化的境遇中寻找到自己的意义与方向。这与创作行为的内核紧密相连。艺术家，如同在高峰与深渊之间徘徊的探索者，在寻求平衡的过程中，创作成为了回应存在困境的途径。


Those who climb to the top love themselves half and annihilation half." - These are two intertwined attitudes under the extreme life experience. On the one hand, climbers pursue and love self-achievement; on the other hand, they yearn for the unknown and uncontrollable. This duality cuts into the core of existentialism - human existence unfolds in loneliness and uncertainty. When facing the impermanence of life and nature, individuals must find their own meaning and direction in the ever-changing circumstances. This is closely related to the act of creation. Artists, like explorers wandering between peaks and abysses, in the process of seeking balance, creation becomes a way to respond to the dilemma of existence.

在这样的视角下，本次展览邀请了五位艺术家——郭海强、葛彦、黄启佑、韩修智、 徐大卫，他们的作品拥有各自独特的视觉语言与理念，却都表现出对自然的持久关注， 以此为背景，探讨存在、文明、记忆之间的复杂性。五位艺术家的作品并非展示既定的观念，而是在当代社会的急剧变迁中，穿越表象的迷雾，触及那片灵魂深处的远山。


From this perspective, this exhibition invited five artists, Guo Haiqiang, Ge Yan, Huang Qiyou, Han Xiuzhi, and Xu Dawei. Their works have their own unique visual language and concepts, but they all show a lasting concern for nature. With this as the background, they explore the complexity between existence, civilization, and memory. The works of the five artists do not display established concepts, but in the rapid changes of contemporary society, they penetrate the fog of appearances and touch the distant mountains deep in the soul.

葛彦，1984年生于安徽，2013年毕业于中国美术学院油画系获硕士学位，现工作生活于上海。
